We are currently accepting applications to coach our 2018 flag and tackle football teams. Please download the applications from this website and e-mail them to [email protected], or contact us via Facebook Messenger at TAA Youth Sports: Football, Cheer and Soccer for in person applications.
If you are selected as a coach , you will receive one (1) free registration for a family member for football or cheer. Any fundraiser opt-out fees are still your responsibility
You are responsible for paying for the background check required by the City of Norfolk to hold a coaching card (SSCI -$15.00)
You are required by us to complete an Online Coaches Clinic at www.nays.org (concussion training: cost $25) ....Returning coaches will need to renew
You are required to complete the flag or tackle certification through USA Football at https://www.usafootball.com/ (flag is free, tackle is $25)
You are required to attend all City of Norfolk coaches Clinics ----date & time TBD
Each coach will receive a coaches shirt to be worn at all games/events

1st date of full practice: TBD 2018
Coaches are responsible for all equipment that is taken out of the equipment room/shed DON’T JUST THROW ITEMS IN THE SHED MAKE SURE THEY ARE PUT BACK WHERE THEY BELONG !!
If you borrow extra footballs for practice you must sign them in and out of the equipment room
Each coach will receive an equipment bag with the following:
Flag – flags, 2 footballs, first aid kit, blood jersey, and 5 mouthpieces ( you must sell these at $1.00 each) *you will be responsible for the cost of any missing footballs, jersey and mouth pieces
Tackle- 2 footballs, first aid kit, blood jersey, helmet repair kit, shoulder pad repair kit, full set of pant pads, and 5 mouth pieces ( you must sell these at $1.00 each) *you will be responsible for the cost of any missing footballs, jersey, pads and mouth pieces
You will be responsible for making sure all players from you team go down to Lakewood to get a Rec. card .....Dates & Times TBD
Please make sure you pick a team parent ASAP they are required to do a back ground check as well
